As you have seen, Harrison & Hunter are both very handsome boys! Harrison and his momma decided to submit his head shots for a worldwide agency model search. I was excited when we first talked, head shots are my favorite and it is rare to find boys who are excited to have their pictures taken. Harrison was so easy to work with, great in front of the camera and very comfortable, all ideal for anyone going into ‘the biz’ and definitely a breath of fresh air for the photographer . During the shoot Hunter also hopped up for some head shots and did great also! I wish both of them the best, the agency would be crazy not to go after these awesome brothers!

Sarah- Part 2, Glamorous

Time to break out the converse and wild makeup! One thing Sarah and I have always loved to do together is dress-up and take pictures. We still had a little bit of light left after we finished her headshots so it seemed only fitting that Sarah should change and take some fun/glam pictures. I think the combination of her shoot: professional/cute + fun/glamorous is also the perfect recipe for great senior pictures- contact me if you’re interested! In the end we found a lot of neat spots and of course, she rocked it in front of the camera.

Sarah- Part 1, Beauty

One of the best parts of moving back to Kansas City has been getting to spend the remainder of the summer with my younger brother and sister. Sarah will be a junior in musical theater at Webster Conservatory in St. Louis and during my time at K-State, it was really difficult to get all three of us home! With extra time on our hands together, it was the perfect time to take Sarah’s new headshots. She will hit the audition circuit hard again next year and having up to date pictures is critical. We had a great time in Old Overland Park and even snuck in a ‘glamour’ shoot for fun at the end! Enjoy some of my favorite headshots of my beautiful sister.

What a fun mini-shoot! Laura and I met in Human Ecology Ambassadors a couple of years ago and have been crossing paths ever since. Laura has been appointed the prestigious the chair position of the ADA Student Advisory Committee for the American Dietetic Association. This is an 8 person committee that represents approximately 17,000 students nationwide-way to go, Laura! As part of her position on this team, a picture of her will be printed in the organization’s newsletter and thus, it was time for some fun headshots =) Enjoy your time in this position, Laura!

Katy & Lauren

May 2010

Thursday was full of bright, streaming sunlight and 20+ MPH winds….two challenges all photographers must face during a Kansas spring evening. I was a bit nervous for Lauren and Katy, worried the wind would ruin their curls and the sunshine would  shadow their faces for their K-State graduation pictures. I was amazed to find the exact opposite to be true! These girls, who met in K-State Singers four years ago, used the elements to their advantage and produced some of the most stunning pictures I have taken yet! Their eyes are piercing, smiles and laughter infectious and zest for life contagious. Katy is an engineering major and Lauren is an education major,  paths crossed by a love of musical theater =) I am so glad to know these two beautiful women and look forward to hearing about all of their upcoming adventures. Congratulations Katy & Lauren!

Carleigh Rose, Prom 2010!

Prom was probably my top high school highlight: buying the dress, getting my hair & makeup done, spending the night with an awesome group of friends, going to amazing restaurants & dancing the night away. Sigh… I miss it! Luckily, I have beautiful friends and family like Miss Carleigh that I can still live vicariously through =)

This weekend I happened to be in Oakley for Carleigh’s Junior Prom and was SO excited to snap some pictures. From her rockin’ dress to her awesome neon blue converse high tops, she was absolutely stunning! It was so neat to experience small town promenade, way different from a prom of 1,500 students! Enjoy these fun and colorful pictures– I guarantee they will take you back to your own prom night !

Easter with the Kelly’s

Meet the beautiful Kelly Family! I have been blessed to get to know them over the past year and a half during the time Steven and I have been dating. They are wonderful and I love getting away to visit them in Oakley, KS- life just slows down and we always have fun! On Easter Sunday I was finally able to take a few pictures of this awesome family and cannot wait to see them framed and on the wall. We even got some of all the Kelly siblings in the 2nd row church pew they have sat in their whole lives!

Meredith

What a fun (freezing!) day taking pictures of Meredith around Manhattan. Meredith’s hunny is currently deployed to Iraq and she wanted me to capture some of their favorite spots in Manhattan. She was a trooper, changing into beautiful dresses and smiling despite the biting cold wind- oh the things we girls do for love ❤  From Tofu Stir Fry at City park to searching for Mustang Cars to pose with, I had a wonderful afternoon hearing stories about she and Woody. I hope these pictures will be a blessing to him when she creates a scrapbook & slideshow to send to Iraq! Thanks for including me Meredith!
